The role
As a Constructive Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary where you’ll lead and motivate a group(s) of Shipwrights / Fabricators / multi-disciplined team to safely achieve defined packages of work within Commercial Marine.
Day to day, you’ll utilise resources in the most effective manner to meet prescribed budgets, quality and delivery timescales.
- Manage the workload to meet contract requirements whilst achieving cost, time and quality requirements.
- Establish and ensure that safe working practices and the working environment is in accordance with the company policy.
- Set production targets to employees on a daily basis ensuring achievement
- Take ownership of activity levels within the area
- Liaise and work with planning, materials, warehousing, quality and other support functions to ensure a co-ordinated team approach.
- Liaise and work with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
Essential experience of the Constructive Supervisor:
- Time served with experience in construction / glass reinforced plastic in ship build and repair.
- Experience in computer use MS Office etc.
- Experience in IFS would be an advantage.
This is a full time role, 37 hours per week based onsite at Rosyth.
Qualifications for the Constructive Supervisor:
- Formal Shipwright / Fabricator / glass reinforced plastic technical qualifications
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
